  7. GENERAL:
  8.     1DIR is a solid hard disk "manager" program      
  9. froφ Bourbaki¼ Inc« anΣ licenseΣ t∩ Basiπ Time¼ etc« 
  10. to be included with their hard disk units. The copy 
  11. I received with my unit was "protected" and only ran
  12. on the Basic Time hard disk.  The following patch
  13. will free the software for use on all hard disks.
  14.  
  15. SETUP:
  16.     Copy 1DIR.COM to a diskette or the hard    
  17. disk.  Make sure you have a copy of DEBUG on the
  18. same volume.  I assume you know how to use DEBUG.
  19.  
  20. THE PATCH:
  21.     1.  DEBUG 1DIR.COM <R>
  22.  
  23.     2.  u3d53 <R>
  24.     Confirm  that the line in part reads... 
  25.     "3d53 .......  CMP AL, [.......]"  
  26.  
  27. IF YES... THE FOLLOWING PATCH WILL WORK;
  28.  
  29. Note: <R>=RETURN KEY   Quotes are not to be typed

  39. That's it... 1DIR should now work on all of your 
  40. equipment.  By the way, at $99.00 this is a 
  41. pretty good program-don't rip it off.  Un-
  42. protect it if you have other disks to use it with.
